About
Why Crumbless
Crumbless exists because of someone I love.
We cook for the people we love. The rest is logistics
Our very first date was supposed to be simple. We chose a restaurant that looked safe, asked all the right questions, and did everything we could.
It still wasn't enough.
For many people with dietary restrictions, food isn't just food.
That night made me realise something I'd never really thought about before: every meal can come with uncertainty, every restaurant needs researching, every holiday needs planning, and trying somewhere new can feel more stressful than exciting.
Cooking has always been one of my favourite ways to care for the people around me.
So instead of accepting that this was just the way things had to be, I started cooking even more.
I spent hours reading ingredient labels, researching products, finding restaurants we could trust, learning new recipes, and searching for ways to make food feel exciting again. Sometimes that meant recreating a favourite meal at home. Sometimes it meant walking through supermarkets looking for one safe ingredient. Sometimes it meant spending days finding somewhere she could finally enjoy her favourite sushi without worrying.
Over time, something became obvious.
If all of this was helping us, it could help someone else too.
That's why I built Crumbless.
Not because I think I have all the answers, but because I know how much time, effort, and uncertainty can go into something that most people never have to think about.
My hope is simple
I hope someone cooks a recipe from here and remembers that food can be exciting.
I hope someone discovers a restaurant they can trust.
I hope someone books a holiday with a little less anxiety.
I hope a partner, a parent, or a friend finds the confidence to cook for someone they love.
If Crumbless helps even one person enjoy food a little more than they did yesterday, then it has already been worth building.
Our promise
Crumbless was created to help people, not to sell to them.
The recipes, travel notes, and practical knowledge that make cooking and travelling with dietary restrictions a little easier will always be free. If you choose to support the project, you're not unlocking content—you're simply helping keep Crumbless available for everyone who needs it.
Because at the end of the day, that's all I really hope this becomes: a place where people can rediscover the joy of food, one meal at a time.
